Happy Easter and I am grateful for all the eggs I had in my body, since I was in my mother's womb. I no longer have any left as eggs, but I feel that they still nourish me through having supported me until the menopause.
Do you know when you had the most eggs? When you were only 20 weeks old in your mother’s womb. Do you know how many you had? Between 5-7 million! Of course these eggs are not as developed as some will become once our menstrual cycle turns on, but even before we reach puberty we only have about 300 to 400k. I've noticed ChatGPT has updated its info on this, but even so, it only talks about us having 1 -2 million at birth and doesn’t mention the even larger number we have at 20 weeks in the womb.
At the menopause this aspect of our fertility switches off because we have either matured eggs to ovulation, or they have been reabsorbed in our body. I like to see that our eggs still nourish us in some way! This is the “Essence” of Chinese medicine. I have done a whole visualisation on the journey of the egg on my YouTube channel, which includes this information and helps you connect with your eggs at your stage of your life cycle.
In this video I have just released, I talk about the last two weeks of the journey of the egg - ovulation. I also talk about the qualities of ovulation which we can tap into even when we no longer ovulate - manifestation and creativity. We are opening up to welcome in something or someone new to help us grow.
Enjoy and I wish you a Happy Easter Monday and your version of resurgence as the spring energy rises in our inner and outer worlds.
