Exploring "Asian" squatting
Squatting offers so many benefits and most of us, with some practice, can do it. I just put up a video on YouTube on squatting. If you watch to the end you see me playing me with one year old dog, Loki. If you like my videos please subscribe. It helps get my work better known!
In it, I give some ideas for moving and preparing to go into the squat. Young children squat naturally and it's helpful to encourage them to continue it! The squat helps improve our posture, our balance and can be strengthening for our pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as releasing tightness in our buttocks and ankles. You can give birth squatting or simply just and drink a cup of tea, play with your dog (like I do at the end), or do some weeding. Enjoy learning about the squat. You don't need to be Asian to do it.
